Womens Heart Health

Women are most important for existence of the world and so women health fitness is very necessary for survival. Just like men, women are also at risk for many heart diseases and heart attacks. However, the ratios may be a bit less thatn that of men.

Our heart continuously pumps and supply fresh oxygen rich blood to different parts of the body. The heart beats about 100,000 times and pumps 2000 gallons per day, to circulate blood to all tissues, cells and organs of the body. Thus it is said that our heart is our life line and so we should take proper care of our heart health. But if we don’t take the required care of our heart, it can cause several fatal diseases, one of which is a cardiac arrest.

Womens Heart Health

Today, womens heart health is an important issue because from the estimation it is found that one among every two women dies due to different heart diseases or heart attack. And, many women are unaware about these risks and how to reduce chances of future heart diseases. So, to give awareness and treat different heart disease many heart centers have come into existence to become womens partners in health.

In women, heart attack symptoms are seen before one or two month and these symptoms are slightly different from that of men. Many times women heart disease symptoms are difficult to diagnose and due to this they lose time to seek proper medical attention. And thus, due to this reason women are at greater risk and lose their life often.

Some heart attack symptoms in women include:

  • Uncomfortable pressure
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Slight pain in the chest
  • Cold sweat
  • Fainting
  • Back pain
  • Pain under the left shoulder
  • Pain spreading to neck, shoulders, arms and jaw
  • Dizziness

In some women less symptoms of heart attack are seen which includes:

  • Unexplained weakness
  • Anxiety palpitations
  • Some different type of chest pain
  • Paleness or cold sweat
  • Abdominal or stomach pain

And so to avoid heart attacks in women and to take proper care of women health fitness, proper diet, exercises and regular medical checkups is required.

A non-governmental organization known as Women’ s Heart Foundation(WHF) implements prevention projects for different heart diseases and acts as a very good womens partners in health. WHF is a union of many doctors, executive nurses, community health directors, civic leaders, women’s heart centers, hospitals, corporate sponsors and providers that helps in any urgent crises during the treatment of women’s heart disease.

If woman is healthy than her whole family is said to be healthy. So to control heart diseases, women should take care about their diet, control their cholesterol level, control blood pressure, maintain a healthy weight, eat low fat diet, be aware of their chest pain, exercise regularly, take less stress and regularly go for medical checkups.
